Bird of Freedom
The 6 meter tall, three quarter tonne, aluminium, stainless steel and concrete statue of a Kestrel designed by Jonathan Clarke soars over the Country Park.
The statue has had a chequered past, the original statue commissioned by Countryside Properties and Braintree District Council was stolen in May 2007.
The iconic statute which looks down from the open air amphitheatre in the park had been a feature since October 2000. Police found where the statue had been pulled off the base and then dragged along tracks. Despite an comprehensive area search they were unable to discover how or where the statue was taken from the point the tracks ended
A replacement statue, an exact replica, with a 15ft wingspan was installed at the park in June 2008.
You're looking for a camouflaged, micro size container that contains a log book only. Please bring a pen.
Stealth is required.
