Historie:
Na de tweede wereldoorlog bleken veel ex-krijgsgevangenen te lijden aan tuberculose. Om deze mensen te helpen bij hun genezing opende de Veteranen Federatie van krijgsgevangenen (FNAPG) een sanatorium in Zwitserland. In 1950 kocht de FNAPG, Domaine de Sainte-Ode waarvan het kasteel (De Celly) werd omgebouwd tot een nazorg en herstel voorziening voor patienten die terug keerde uit Zwitserland.

In de loop der jaren in de functie van deze gezondheidsinstelling steeds meer verschoven van sanatorium naar een organisatie met diensten zoals geriatrie, revalidatie en palliatieve zorg.

History:
After the second world war, many ex-prisoners of war suffered from tuberculosis. The Veterans Federation of prisoners of war (FNAPG) opened a sanatorium in Switzerland. In 1950 the FNAPG, bought Domaine de Sainte-Ode whose castle (The Celly) was converted into an aftercare and rehabilitation facility for patients who returned from Switzerland.

Over the years the function of this growing health care facility shifted more to an organization of sanatorium services such as geriatrics, rehabilitation and palliative care.

Après la seconde guerre mondiale de nombreux prisonniers ont souffert de la tuberculose. La Fédération de anciens prisonniers de guerre (FNAPG) a ouvert un sanatorium en Suisse. En 1950, la FNAPG, a acheté le Domaine de Sainte-Ode dont le château (Le Celly) qui a été converti en centre de rééducation pour les patients qui revenaient de Suisse.

Au fil des années la fonction de l'établissement de santé est passée d'une organisation de sanatorium vers un centre de gériatrie, de rééducation et de soins palliatifs.
