A quick roadside cache.
This site was originally the Farmers Cooperative Creamery Company. Founded around 1900 it operated until 1978. It was a model butter factory using water from 5 springs which maintained a constant natural water temperature of 45 degrees winter and summer. These springs now support the Harwood Fish Culture Station located just across the road. If the gates are open go in for a self-guided tour. It is well worth a visit (even better - it's free!)
