Vårflaumen 1860 - The flood in 1860

Cachen ligger noen meter unna en stein som viser hvor høy vannstanden var våren 1860. Du ser steinen i høyre ende av steinmuren nedenfor bolighuset.
Det står også en bautastein i parken på Fagernes som viser flere vannhøyder opp gjennom årene. Etter det jeg har sett og hørt, er vannstanden i 1860 den høyest målte.
Etter att vassdraget ble regulert har ikke vannstanden vært spesielt høy.

Near the cache is a stone to mark the water level in a flood in 1860. You will find the stone near the right end of the stone wall. It is also a bigger stone in the park in Fagernes with more waterlevels.
