REDRUTH ROAMERS: End of the road for this Colour cache.
The walk to the cache is now very wet/muddy/boggy, and is no longer maintained to the high standards it was 14 years ago.
The cache is being replaced by something different close by.

Thanks to all the 161 visitors, and the 33 cachers who gave it a favourite point.

Geocache Description:

This is the 5th in a series of caches that are based on places that have colours in its name. These can all be found on the 1:25,000 OS maps of Cornwall.

Silverwell is a scattering of properties on quiet country lanes about 2 miles north of Chiverton roundabout and a short distance off the A3075 Chiverton - Newquay road.
We nearly missed this spot whilst driving through, but for Mrs R.R.'s sister saying "What's that we just passed ! " It turned out to be a little gem. Our favorite place of the series so far.
There is room for one car to park near and to the right of the green gate signed Pump Lane - to which you need to go through.
Follow this path pass the well - see photos below - and on down to the river. There are picnic tables and benches on the way and at the cache site, so take the oppertunity to make use of them, its such a pretty area.

There are one or two small muddy patches to pass on the way to the cache, but may be dry throughout the summer months!!!

The cache is a large screw top container - olive jar - the same as at the White Alice cache ( Colours No2 ) with a good sized log-book and swaps for the kids.
