Geocache Description:

The third in the Aldridge Parish cache series.

You are looking for a very small (but not nano) metal screwtop container. Make sure you bring your own pen or pencil!

This cache while wheelchair accessible in terms of general location may prove impossible to reach if you are restricted to a chair.

St Thomas' Church celebrated its 40th year in 2009. It was formed on the estate of the now demolished Coppy Hall estate. The owner of the hall at the time was named Thomas, hence the choice of choosing St Thomas as the patron saint of this church.

St Thomas' is a very busy and vibrant contemporary community church, which is part of Aldridge Parish and the Diocese of Lichfield (Church of England). The style of the building is purposely designed to be used by the community, and happily it is very widely used pretty much every day of the week.

As a church we have a membership of around 200 (so expect to get heavily muggled if you turn up on a Sunday morning!).

Each month we serve around hundreds of children and their families with a full range of children's and families ministries which is our speciality.

We hope you enjoy discovering this little gem of a church tucked away at the top end of Aldridge. If you have any children with you feel free to wander round to the park behind church where there is a small play area, and if you pop down to the bottom field you could feed the horses some carrots (The horses are abandoned and looked after by the good will of the local community - they're very friendly and lovely).
