Geocache Description:

Burleigh Wood is a nature reserve in an ancient wood.

The ancient wood was once a Norman deer park. Traces of the deer bank still exist. From the wood, you can see Holywell Farm. In late April there is a spectacular carpet of bluebells.

Please note that there is conservation work going on in the woods. The cache is on a main footpath, there is no need to go off the main footpath to find it.

There are two circular walks, one around the perimeter and the other cutting through the middle of the park.

Not wheelchair accessible.
Not easy terrain for buggies.

Please respect this oasis and do not litter.
