Sage Creek Marsh Wildlife Viewing Area
Sage Creek Marsh viewing area has a kiosk and wooden viewing blind.
This property is part of Onondaga Audubon Society’s Derby Hill sanctuary. Both American and Least Bittern have been seen in the marsh and Black Tern used to breed here. Osprey, Caspian Tern and a variety of duck species are frequent visitors here. The Sage Creek Marsh Lot (Lot 3) is open all year.
We always make a stop here while visiting Derby Hill, and the area needed a cache.
The cache is a very well hidden micro.
Please bring a pencil and use stealth when retrieving or replacing the cache.
Enjoy!
