Geocache Description:

I love nature reclamation areas, But I'm not sure about this one. Kind of have mixed feelings on this place.

Cache is located on the public right of way, and it is not necessary to enter the cemetery to retrieve it.

This is an old cemetery that is no longer being maintained. The park district is allowing it to grow over and reclaim itself. Although its a great site to visit, I still have mixed feelings about whether a cemetery should be allowed to be turned into a nature preserve.

As with any cache located on or near a cemetery, please remember to respect the area and stay out of the cemetery after dusk.

The earliest dates I could find on the tombstones were the early 1800's and the latest was the early 1950's.
