Geocache Description:

Fairly easy to get to in the Hanchurch woods area.

A forward operating base (FOB) is any secured forward position that is used to support tactical operations by the Military. In this case these tactical operations involve Geocaching. They are mainly found in places like Afghanistan but seen as the mighty Yorkshire Army are operating a fair way away from the homeland at the moment, we decided we should get some FOB's set up around our adopted home of Stoke On Trent. FOB Hanchurch is at the side of a public footpath on a fairly decent track and accessable to pushchairs etc with biggish wheels. It's in what can be a fairly popular muggle area so stealth may be required. We are planning on setting up a few more over the next few months so keep an eye open for them.

Parking for this Cache is available at a couple of locations depending on how far you want to walk, however the closest is at N52 56.980 W002 15.037
