Geocache Description:

The Barbados Railway Company Limited (BRCL) was incorporated in 1883. It was proposed to run from Bridgetown to Belleplaine, St. Andrew parish. In order to maintain a level grade from station to station, the railroad track followed the seacoast closely on this part of its journey. The Chalky Mount area is of particular interest to geologists and nature lovers due to the spectacular outcroppings. This cache is one of the BRCL series.

Close to the roadway, you will notice unusual geological formations brought about by immense forces many years ago. As this is a fragile area, please do not wander or cause unnecessary erosion. It is not necessary to venture into the underbrush, nor to climb, to find the cache. Please be careful how you park or stop along this road, as it is a highway!
The original cache contains only a small log. Please bring a pencil or pen to write your entry.
