To celebrate 100 years of scouting for the Boy Scouts of America, this geocache has been placed outside the Trexler Scout Reservation in Jonas.
While there are posted signs, the cache has been placed with the permission of Minsi Trails Council and access to it is only permitted during daylight hours.
Please respect all signs regarding entrance to the property. No need to go into the camp as the cache is outside the gates.
Please no night caching.
Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Trexler is the Northeast Region's foremost Boy Scout Camp. In 1927, decorated war hero Harry C. Trexler turned a tract of land in Monroe County into a camp for the Boy Scouts of the Lehigh County Council. The camp opened in 1928 and during 2010 it will celebrate its’ 82nd anniversary. Owned by the Minsi Trails Council, this 900-acre Scout Reservation includes: Separate Boy Scout and Cub Scout Resident Camps, two lakes with Fishing, Boating, and Canoeing and two fully staffed waterfronts. The reservation also has over 25 miles of hiking and orienteering trails.

Minsi Trails Council serves Scouts of eastern Pennsylvania Lehigh Valley and Pocono regions as well as parts of western New Jersey. The council was formed in 1969, after the merger of the Bethlehem Area Council, Delaware Valley Area Council, and Lehigh Council. The council consists of six districts and maintains two camps: Camp Minsi and Trexler Scout Reservation.
