Great walk along the Bure Valley, even better view and an interesting hiding spot amongst one of North Norfolk's 'hidden' walks.
This cache is hidden a lot lower than you would at first think, younger Geocachers may need an extra pair of hands to reveal this box.
The railway line can be picked up from various points nearby (Coltishall or Buxton are recommended) or for a quicker grab, parking nearby in Lamas is an option.
Whether you approach this cache from the bottom of the hill at the Bure Valley Railway line (great recommended walk) or from the top of the hill from Buxton/Lamas you will not be able to avoid the sight of long rows of Poplar trees which seem to 'guard' this cache north and south. The view from the coordinates given is beautiful to say the least - and that is without the steam trains chugging on by!
From whichever direction you approach this cache at, you will have to leave the bright view behind and traverse a much darker environment to uncover this treasure trove.
A standard size clip box contains (at time of hiding) a Geocoin, Travel Buddy, log book, various trinkets, and a 'prize' for first-to-find. Oh and don't upset the 'Guardian'.
DO NOT DISTURB THE NATURE BARREL OR BUCKET. THE CACHE IS NOT IN EITHER!!!!
Happy hunting...
***CONGRATULATIONS TO CAPTAIN BIRD'S EYE FOR FIRST TO FIND***
PLEASE NOTE: The above coordinates have been deleberately offset from the actual cache and clues have been given from this spot (hence the difficulty rating). If you would prefer a less challenging hunt then please use N 52° 45.144 E 001° 19.460 (as given from FTF 'Captain Bird's Eye').
