Geocache Description:

WARNING: Beware of snakes in summer.

Hildebrand Ranch Park is a Jefferson County Open Space Park located along Deer Creek Canyon Road, just west of S. Wadsworth Blvd and the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. This 1,453 acre ranch was acquired in 2001 from the Hildebrand family who has owned it since 1866. The park includes 5 sunny miles of multi-use trails with views of Chatfield State Park. The park dedication event was held on Thursday, 6 May 2010.

The new and unique parking lot uses permeable interlocking concrete pavers which provide for infiltration and treatment of runoff to improve water quality.

The cache is a small plastic latching box holding small items, a few travel bugs, and a log book. The location is exposed and in view of muggles. NOT in the structure.

WARNING: Beware of snakes and small cactus in the summer.
