Geocache Description:

This location in Judgeford Valley was once a major camp for the Armed Forces of the United States of America engaged in the Pacific during WWII. You will find yourself at the Judgeford Golf Course which became a base for both NZ and US Marines. Following the war most of the Judgeford camp was demolished. However there are many concrete abutments and several areas on the greens where the ground rises over filled in areas. Once the military had left the golf club came out of recess and in 1949 the "New" Judgeford Golf Club was founded.

The cache is a 400ml Sistema container and can be found about 1 metre to the left of the structure at the coordinates.

PLEASE replace the cache exactly as you found it - thank you!
