Steps by the side of the road lead down to a style and the start of a footpath across fields. Parking available nearby. Catforth is also on a bus route between Preston and Fleetwood with a short walk to this cache.
This is the first of a series of caches placed around the Village of Catforth to make a 5.5mile circular walk. The series is along country lanes, canal tow path and footpaths and you can grab a couple of extra caches along the way making 11 in total. If walking, follow in number sequence however you could choose to park at one of the two pubs and still complete the circular walk. All can be accessed by bicycle although you may have to double back on yourself at some point and then the route would be about 9 miles. For the less energetic most can be done as drive by with perhaps just a short walk once suitable road side parking has been found but you would have to do them out of order and plan your own route as one road is a dead end. You may encounter farm traffic and the roads are very narrow in places so please take care and be considerate to other road users when trying to park.
