CCCs' Nite Out # 56 - Time for a Limerick Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Katydid & Miles Stone: Thank you all for coming. Don't forget to grab those travel bugs....

Here are the limericks from last year's GiG Goes Green Event - GC1N0EW. We had a limerick contest where fellow cachers voted on each other's submissions. The winner was BraceletLady :) Thanks for sharing with us Holly!!!!

There once was a cacher named Bruce
His container I couldn't shake loose
I did a small dance
as I sliced up my hands
For he'd hid the #@*! thing in a spruce
Submitted by: Jon Harder - The Mockernuts

There once was a cacher
Who always avoided a passer
But it was late one night
When blue lights came in sight
But officer, it’s just a cache, sir.

There once was a cacher hunting without a clue
He looked and looked for at least an hour or two
For what he thought was a box meant for ammo
That regrettably turned out to be the dreaded nano.
What is this poor clueless cacher to do?
Submitted by: Sue & David Boyer - The Tiltonites

There once was a cacher, Cecil - his name
All he was after was fortune and fame
He planned and he schemed
And even daydreamed
Because he didn’t know it’s a game!
Submitted by: Bruce Nelson - Cecil...EGCM(BOWD)

There once was a cacher named Sue
Who was quite sad and blue
She walked a mile
Claimed the smile
And ruined another new shoe!
Submitted by: Sue Nelson - Professor Zoom

There once was a cacher from GIG
That hid her swag beneath the twig
The ammo can was all rusty
The logsheet was all musty.
But I found a coin dubbed “Arnold the Pig”.
Submitted by: Todd Chimel - N9TDC

There once was a cacher I know
Who trudged through the woods in the snow.
The ivy in summer,
to her was a bummer.
So cache in the cold she did go!

When: Tuesday, May 11, 7:00 pm

The Central Connecticut Cacher's Nite Out is an evening gathering on the second Tuesday of every month (well, most months anyway). Mark your calendars now! Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an experienced cacher...new folks are most welcome! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted.

This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact KD&MS. As host, you'll select a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a number of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
