This cache is located on the MurasakigawaOhashi Bridge.

紫川は1970年代まで工業排水や生活排水などによって汚染が急速に進み、水質汚濁や悪臭に悩まされてきましたが、公害対策や市民と行政が一体となった浄化運動、さらに下水道の整備などによって水質が向上してきました。現在は、都心を流れる川でありながら、アユやシロウオが遡上し、上流ではホタルが舞うなど、市民にとってなくてはならない憩いの川となっています。
快適な都市環境づくりを目指す北九州市が小倉の中心を流れる紫川をシンボルリバーとして整備しました。10の橋にはそれぞれ海、火、木・・・といった自然をテーマにデザインされています。
