We were geocaching along the Cabezon Communities Linear Park trail when we came upon two interesting pieces of practical urban art on and along the trail. Most people who walk this trail will see and recognize the one on the trail, but don’t miss the more interesting one just off the trail.
This multi-stage cache has four short stages and will use mostly your legs and eyes to orienteer/navigate through it. The intermediate stages are virtual – you have to find the object, stand there, and look for or project your next waypoint.
The posted coordinates provide the closest access to the other stages of the cache. From the posted coordinates, the first piece of art (ART1) bears 155 feet at 212 degrees true. When you stand in the middle of ART1, the second piece (ART2) bears 85 feet at 150 degrees true. When You’re The Gnomon in the middle of ART2, the actual cache location bears 55 feet at 2:00PM and is a pill FOB in a larger host. Log only – bring your own writing tool.
