My dad was called for resons best known only to my grandparents. as Belgium Pearl Bazura , so consequently he was called by all who knew him as Bill. he had many jobs in his life time finishing his career at USAF Bentwaters as liason officer between the US government and English telecom , the gpo in those days. He was responsible for putting in the hot line to the white house in case of war. Very highly thought of by the US personnel who he worked with, he was twice asked to stay on after retirement age and because of his work he was awarded the first civillian medal to be given by the US commander for services to British / American relations. I have very fond memories of those days and our visits to bbq,s etc on Bentwaters base. This cache is in his memory and that of the many people who came to be friends in those days.but especially of my dad Bill and the wonderfuf memories he left me.
