Located on bridleway between Cairnbridge Road and Great Corby. Nice circular walk if you have 45 mins to spare otherwise a short walk from the road. Path can be muddy in wet weather.
Small tupperware box containing usual small items when set. The road near the cache has many small houses built by the Land Settlement Association, which was set up in 1935 to create small holdings for unemployed men. Each house was given around 10acres of land and the tenants worked co-operatively. During the war the land was given to those with agricultural experience in order to maximise food production. The Land Settlement Association was wound up in 1982 with tenants forced to buy their leases or move on. Many homes have since been subjected to extensions and other improvements and their land sold off to neighbouring farmers. If you follow the briadal way onwards you'll come to the village of Great Corby which has an excellent pub and restaurant, The Queens, which runs its own micro-brewary from the former blacksmiths opposite the village green.
