Geocache Description:

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PAGE and LOGS ACCORDINGLY.

Important Page Update 5/14/10 - See my note posted below!

This event will be one small part of the WWFM 7 (World-Wide Flash Mob). This event and all others around the globe in their respective time zone will begin precisely at 1 pm EST on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

This Flash Mob Geocache event will last exactly 15 minutes – not a second longer. You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim this event.

For those that don’t know - A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.

PLEASE NOTE: “Almond Joy’s got nuts, ______ _____” Based on this famous jingle, please come to the event ready to choose one event meal offering over another. And for those too young to get the reference – go here: (visit link) and here: (visit link)

ITINERARY:

12:45 PM - 12:59 PM - Participants stroll around the area. STAY AWAY from ground zero until the signal is given. Best as you can - act like a muggle, pretend not to know each other or give any indication that something is about to happen. At 12:59 PM slowly begin to move towards ground zero.

1:00 PM EXACTLY– Music will play – everyone will converge at ground zero. Log slips will be handed out - Bring your own pen or pencil. Sign log slip and drop it in the collection box (one per TEAM/geocaching name)

1:05 PM – Group picture takes place. Listen carefully and follow all directions given by photographer quickly as to where to line up.

1:08 PM - The event meal will be held (you MUST choose one or the other offering), and then mingling can take place.

1:12 PM - The FTF name drawing will be held/prize awarded/picture taken.

1:14 PM - One minute warning will be announced: "It is now 1:14. Prepare to Disperse!" Organizers will seal up log container for transport.

1:15 PM EXACTLY – Everyone leave immediately! Meet elsewhere if desired (** see below).

This event will be held rain or shine – please come prepared for the elements.

We would like to have a general idea of how many to expect – so please post a note here and let us know if you and others will be attending the event. Also, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD through any available means so we have a huge crowd. Also – PLEASE plan to attend the after-party so we can get to know one another. New cachers are particularly urged to attend!

*** The regular after-party site is unavailable right now - stay tuned for new site location and coordinates.

Don't forget to "watch" this listing so you are up to date.
