There is a bridge in southwest Tucson that is guarded by a pair of
enormous gila monsters. One of them had agreed to guard a micro
cache for me, but since it got muggled three times, I moved it.
This offset cache is my contribution to Tucson's public art
caches. The given coordinates are at the center of the bridge. The
final will be found 95 feet away at 302 degrees from that
point.
There are two dangers associated with this cache, but with the
change you no longer need to brave them if you do not choose to.
The first is that the given coordinates are located on a traffic
island in the middle of a four lane road, so be careful when
crossing. The second danger is from the construction of the
monsters. They are a mosaic of broken ceramic, glass, and other
things. The grout between pieces should cover up sharp edges, but
I'm not going to guarantee that.
The best place for parking is at the Circle K convenience store
just to the east.
The first to brave the monsters was grandmabetsy. It was
good to witness her happy dance.
9 July 2011 - Moved the cache.
