Geocache Description:

You are now travelling on the BURMA ROAD. Located just across the fence line to the East is the remains of a homestaed once owned by an OLD HERMIT who was known to all as RUSSIAN JOHN.He was a legend to all us kids and it was rumoured that he was digging a Gold Mine on his property. He used a team of horses to go back and forth to town. He was found dead one day on his hayrack in the hot summer sun with his horses still hitched--he had been dead for some time. Many local kids looked long and hard for his treasures. Non were ever found tho. This is BURMA ROAD. You are now at the South End of Burma Road on the South Side of the Crystal Beach Game Preserve. You are almost as far away from the 85KM limit for SCAR 2010 caches as you can get. This used to be a regular weekend haunt area for (R) in the old days. IF you are Looking for this cache in NOVEMBER--Remember around this area is very Popular deer hunting area so WEAR SOMETHING ORANGE OR RED. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. Bring your Cameras as YOU WILL SEE DEER maybe Antelope and other wildlife along the way.Maybe even an AWESOME SUNSET if you time it right actually at sunset is the BEST TIME TO SEE LOTS OF DEER.
