Tunbridge Wells Walk 2 is a series of 6 ‘micro’ caches and one small cache spread over a circular walk of just under 3.5 miles (or 1.5 hours approx.) from a central position in Tunbridge Wells on the Kent and Sussex border. The caches are made up of 6 traditional caches with clue letters and numbers that will lead you to the 7th cache. The walk is intended to be circular and the caches done in numerical order. However, they can be done individually and in any order if you wish. All the hides should be pretty easy, especially with the clues.
Most of the route is clearly marked but one or two paths are well hidden. It is suggested that you take a decent map with you in any case. The cache page descriptions will provide you with the most interesting walk but following the GPS signal to the next cache will often work as well.
Dogs are allowed throughout but they should be kept on a lead where appropriate.
There are a couple of busy roads to cross as well as a short stretch of quiet road that requires you to walk under 200 yards along the road so please ensure that you take care and keep a close eye on children and dogs. The walk is not suitable for young children (in our opinion).
It can be very wet and muddy under foot so a good pair of walking boots or wellies may be required.
There is no pen or pencil in any of the caches so please bring your own

2 - #5 Toad Rage (Down to Earth)
Continue straight down the path across Rusthall Common. Cross over the road at the bottom and turn right. Walk along the side of the road over the cross-roads and follow Rusthall Road until the road swings round to the right and Bretland Road goes left. Take the path straight ahead. Cross Rusthall Grange and turn right along Apsley Street. Follow the path around in front of the houses and then between the rocks. Does this feel like being at the seaside?
