Geocache Description:

* * * The coordinates above will not lead you to the cache * * *

Full Circle is a free, independent, magazine dedicated to the Ubuntu family of Linux operating systems. Each month, it contains helpful how-to articles and reader submitted stories. For those hardcore computer geeks, this is manna.

Full Circle also hosts podcasts on topics such as Manual Dexterity, Google Sketchup and Android, and Digitally Retouching a Photo in GIMP (phew, that’s a mouthful).

BTW: Ubuntu is a southern Africian ethical ideology meaning "humanity towards others", but after working on this enigma you may think this cache is anything but.

On a recent foray into the heretofore unknown computer world (to me anyhow) of Ubuntu (pronounced oo-BOON-too), I discovered the following codes:

Edgy Eft, Breezy Badger, Icy Ibex, Lucid Lynx, Hegemonic Hedgehog

Flirty Fawn, Macabre Meerkat, Deranged Drake, Jagged Jackalope, Gutsy Gibbon

I believe cache coordinates can be decrypted from these code words.. I’ve tried to make sense of them but the ususal and more obvious relationships of words to numbers doesn’t seem to work. I originally thought the geek editor had encrypted them in the magazine or in the computer speak junk but I've come full circle and think it has probably nothing to do with that. I sent the editor an e-mail asking for some assistance. In his e-mail reply he told me it's a simple cipher but that I should have little trouble with it. He added that I could check the enclosures for a more detailed account of the deciphering algorithm, but the e-mail contained none. He hasn't responded to further inquiries.

Informational note: The editor did mention that the hide mated up to this somwhat evil puzzle could be challenging.

2nd Informational Note: The full circle editor finally has replied to me to let me know that he thinks the genre of this puzzle is similar to ones that I have published. He also noted that some esteemed puzzle heads have seemingly been easily stumped by these mystery caches both in southwest Ohio and Florida, which he found amusing. He noted that as much as he admires the wealth of knowledge that the internet affords through the likes of google and wikipedia, that the predisposition of most puzzle heads would make this venue virtually worthless.

3rd Informational Note: I'm forwarding the editor's opinion that the puzzleheads must be overthinking the solution. He said he gave the printed cache page to his fifth grade daughter and she had it solved in ten minutes flat. He also thinks I'm way off on my difficulty ratings and that the ratings on my like puzzles need adjustment, e.g. Ohio's should be to 2's and Florida's 3's.

4th Informational Note: The editor has provided an analysis that the Eft and Lynx release have an elementary commonality that the other's do not have and that the software engineers are likely unaware of.

5th Informational Note: The editor has been monitoring the progress in discovering the true meaning of full circle and has suggested that anyone interested could sign up for his on-line seminar in graphonomics to boost their analytical skills. Check out the enclosures for details of the offering.
