Joshua Tree Serpent

Spotted one of these rare creatures of the High Desert. Seldom seen or heard but this time it was caught with a digital camera. The JT Lochness was spotted on the route I take to and from work every day. Traffic through here is fast and this creature can be a blur, the reason why this creature is seldom seen. If you have time, soak in this vast Desert and you're guaranteed to find treasures. Example, a Joshua Tree could be discounted as just another spiny stump.

There are many different shapes and characteristics of these trees that we take for granted. There are some that don't appreciate the beauty of them but many that would contradict this. I placed this cache so that one can stop and take the time to appreciate one of natures creation.

This cache is found right off of Highway 18 just outside Adelanto's City limits on Caughlin Road. The dirt road sweeps around this Joshua Tree as to protect it and not to tear it down by punching a road through. Props to those that prevented the loss of this treasure. The cache is a 2"x4" small tin. Bring your writing utensil. You are in critter country. You've heard this before, never reach in places you can't see without poking around first.
