October in Oklahoma can only mean one thing!

Fall Fest Time!

Join us at Lake Eufaula State Park, October 9th & 10th, 2010
for Fun, Food, Fellowship, Camping, and of course, Geocaching!

Lake Eufaula State Park, formerly Fountainhead State Park, is located on Lake Eufaula just South of Checotah and North of Eufaula, on Highway 150 just off I 40 and Highway 69. Easy access from East and West, North and South.

Activities include:
* Hide and seek: The main event! Use your imagination to create the best cache. Hide it and they will seek.

* Crazy Snake Challenge: A timed skills challenge for teams of 2 - 4 players.

* Geo-Bingo: How well do you know your fellow geocachers? Break the ice with this great get-to-know-you game!

* Children's Game: Fun for the younger cachers and the young at heart. Our main objective is to have a great time and maybe find a few caches and make some new friends

* Other fun activities, sessions and general geocaching good times.

* 105 uses for BBQ Sauce: (A Separate Event on October 8th!) Bring your best BBQ recipe and have it judged by the group. (As long as it has BBQ sauce in it or on it, it is eligible to be judged.)

Saturday Registration will open at 8:30am. Geo-Bingo will begin at 10am, Hide & Seek caches should be placed by 11am and coordinates will be released as near Noon as possible.
Sunday prize drawings will begin at 1pm.

Lake Eufaula State Park is surrounded on three sides by the largest manmade lake in Oklahoma. Visitors can enjoy RV and tent camping, an 18-hole golf course with putting green and pro shop, indoor and outdoor fishing dock, picnic areas, group facilities, swimming beaches, playgrounds, kid's fishing pond, hiking trails, nature trails, nature center, watersports, naturalist activities, and naturalist programs.

Directions: From I-40, go 4 miles SW on Hwy 150

Accommodations: Event Headquarters will be in the Deep Fork Campground (see Map). You will need to book your RV or tent campsites individually with the State Park. Please consider booking a site in the Deep Fork area, (Lakeview Circle sites are the premium RV sites). When making reservations make sure you tell the park you are coming for the Tulsa Area Geocachers event, as the cost of the pavilion will depend on the number of RV sites booked, and that is the only way you can get a reservation.

Event meals will be catered by Boy Scout Troop 84 for a fee.

The event is free to all, registration fees are for meals only.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the fellowship and activities. Weather or not you decide to order the meals, an individual Release form is needed for everyone participating.
Register early and post your "will attend" with the number coming. Let us know how many to plan for!

Meal Order Forms and Release Forms are now available. Avoid the rush and help us plan by sending them in early!

Fall Fest T-shirts are available for ordering. Orders must be received by September 24th.
