VASSALBORO TOWN FOREST TRAIL
Located .4 miles west on the Bog Rd. from downtown East Vassalboro. The trail entrance is from the back parking Lot of the recreation fields. The 1-mile to .8-mile trail may be done as one or two loops. The terrain is generally level and passes through a mixture of wetlands, softwoods and hardwoods. Moving quietly is a great opportunity to view birds and other wildlife. Historically a portion of the trail includes the rail bed of the narrow gauge Wiscasset – Waterville line.
This is 1 of 4 caches, GC282TZ, GC282V1, GC282V3, GC282V5, that you will need to find to get the coords to: Vassalboro Home Run (GC282ED). As you collect the clues you can fill in the blanks below. All clues are on two small loops that are less than one half mile long each. This cache is a small lock & lock that contains a log book and some small swag. You should print this page out and take it with you so you can fill in the coords below to GC282ED and also mark down other information you will need to locate the final cache.
