Past the overlook, in a Cedar grove, There's a tree growing Horizonally, you are very close. Look at the base of a dead tree.
This Cache is in a beautiful Arboretum with a great hiking trail. The gates are open 8:00 AM 'till 5:00 PM 7 days a week. Come early to allow enough time to enjoy the trail as well as the landscape. There is a $2.00 admission (well worth the price); the arboretum was funded by membership and donation until recently. Most of the work is done by volunteers.
The cache contains a "First to Find" certificate plus a large assortment of patriotic stuff including a small American flag, 9-11-01 lapel pins, and an American flag bumper sticker. You will also find packets of Bluebonnet, Wildflower, and Sunflower seed donated by the Arboretum, a Horseshoe Casino die keyring from a cache in LA, and other items.
