A camo'd bison tube in Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. As I was placing this cache, a deer walked into the opening and I got a chance to watch it for a while before it realized I was there.
Located in Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, this cache is along the Chacala trail, within a few feet of the trail in a natural opening. Please stay on the trails. This park is more than 21000 acres and the rangers would greatly prefer that they not have to find you if you get lost (yes, even with a GPS it is possible).
As with all wilderness areas in Florida, please use common sense for your safety. There are snakes, ticks and other wildlife in the park that you may come in contact with. Take water with you when walking the trails as there are not places to refill your water bottle while on the trail.
Entrance Fees for the park are as follows:
$4 - Single occupant in a vehicle
$6 - Vehicle with 2-8 occupants
$2 - Pedestrians, cyclists, etc.
Enjoy the park and enjoy the number of caches that are in this area.
