Geocache Description:

Pierre Noufi
The druids stone. A lonely menhir hidden in the woods. A sacred place where in ancient times druids celebrated their sabbaths. According to the legend a golden ring has been hidden underneath.

Menhirs
Menhirs may be found singly as monoliths, or as part of a group of similar stones, sometimes used by druids for human sacrifice, used as territorial markers or elements of a complex ideological system, or functioning as early calendars.
There has been a lot of discussion in the scientific world about the meaning and use of menhirs. If only the stones could speak for themselves, maybe we would know for sure.
But hey. Stones can speak, didn't you know?

The cache
Visit this mythical spot during a 4 km walk. No need to speak English, French or even Celtic. The stones will speak for themselves and will lead you to the cache (a 1 liter lock-n-lock box of nearly regular size).
Park your car at the coordinates listed on top. Walk uphill and turn left at the church. Keep walking uphill until there's a wooden cross in front of you. Turn left and follow the road that will lead you to your first guiding stone at:

WP1 N 50° 20.088 E 5° 45.893:
one stone will tell you how to proceed

WP2 N 50° ??.??? E 5° ??.???:
eight stones will try to distract, some will tell the truth, some won't

WP3 N 50° ??.??? E 5° ??.???:
Spot the smaller rectangular one near two birches.
It's the Priest's Chair.
Take a seat and murmur some druid words in the right direction.
In a small cavity in front of you you will find the stone treasure map.

Good luck, may the stones be with you ;-)

After finding the cache avoid taking the same way back by looking for a path that will lead you to N 50° 20.431 E 5° 45.013. At this spot your GPS will bring you back to the start.
