diamond79: We contacted the PO about the problem with the container a couple of months ago. After checking on the status a couple of times (and most recently getting no response), we've decided to archive this geocache.

The cache is located on the grounds of Oak Grove, a semi-primitive retreat center east of Pleasanton, Iowa, with permission.
The property includes Oak Seminary, a public one-room schoolhouse that has been traced back to 1860 though a previous teacher's diary. Because of its name, it is believed to be part of a program established in New England during the 1850s to train young orphaned women to become teacher/missionaries to "civilize" the frontier, i.e. Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska and the Dakotas.
The current owner purchased the property in 1999 and began restoring it by removing the chicken run that had been attached to the south and making repairs where raccoons had damaged the original roof and interior ceiling. She now uses it to house the Wild Prairie Puppets.
