This cache is located on a small island in the Potomac River. I found a few caches on islands last year and had such a blast that I decided to put more out. At certain times of the year it may be possible to walk/climb to the island without getting wet, but that is unlikely. Parking is available at the nearby public stream access.
The cache is a camo film canister, so BYOP. Please be careful retrieving cache and just remove the cap to ensure it stays in its hiding spot.
Be advised that if intend to paddle for this cache Maryland DNR states that Life Jackets MUST BE WORN at all times from November 15th thru May 15th. All other times there must be one wearable life jacket per person on board.
PLEASE observe and note the terrain rating. There are terrain hazards. You may get wet. There may be spiders, insects,angry geese, rats and snakes present. Trash, mud, railroad ties, tires, rusted out old cars, bumpers, broken glass, etc may be present. Dangerous conditions may exist at times. Please use your best judgment in deciding whether to tackle this cache.
