The first school to open on the Condowie Plains recieved its first pupils in 1877. The Condowie Bible Christian Church (the Weatherboard, on section 149c) was rented to the Education Department during the week.Enrolments in that first year reached 31,this number had decreased by 1879 so the school closed for a few months and opened again in 1880 and enrolments soon reached 28.The school finally closed in 1883 due to falling numbers.
Under the name Condowie Plains the school resumed in this building on the 17th of August 1884.The building was unheated until at least 1893 and the Education Inspector criticised this in his reports in 1892 and 1893.It is not known if a fireplace or stove was ever installed but the same inspector reported in 1895 that in his opinion the premises were satisfactory but alas this was also the same year that the school closed, once again to falling enrolments
