Now days most steam locomotives are relics or used for occasional site seeing trips. However, once a month steam is alive and well in this little park. Started 1986 and named after Halley's comet, Halley's Park is home of the Pietermaritzburg Model Engineering Society. If you're a lover of steam, this society gathers on the first Sunday of every month to show off their works of art.
