"From one Lush to Another" Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

StevetS: I am sad to Archive this cache. It appears that someone has taken it. I no longer live in this region so will archive the cache at this point. FYI, the second generation of from one lush to another (the first was on a parking sign that was removed) was a hollowed out 6"x6" metal plate just like the other bolt plates on the brick wall of Flicklin Port Company in the alley. It was head high and was indistinguishable from the functioning metal bolt plates.

Geocache Description:

This is my first cache hide and was inspired during a trash pick up meeting with the members of a Sacramento Midtown Meet-Up Group dedicated to cleaning up Midtown. During one Sunday morning, I found countless empty vodka, gin and whiskey bottles along the path of this cache.

OK, below is the story containing the puzzle to solve, and be advised to start directly outside the front doors of the salon. The original cache was destroyed. The new cache is very nearby the old one.

I ran into a distraught friend at the given coordinates. He told me about selling his old car and using all the money to buy Jack Daniels- 416 pints in total! He tossed one in my direction and invited me to join him in drowning his sorrows and watch the sunset over the river. We drank the first pints down and for no logical reason, placed the empties on the ground lined up base to stem. After putting the first empties down we began our journey. Immediately friends of his joined in and began putting down pints one after the other following our pattern. As the crowd grew it became apparent that the Jack would run out long before reaching the Sacramento River. Being lushes, all of us, the group decided after 150 pints to change course and head for Azul! My friend put the last pint down near the cache location.

The cache is easily visible without having to take anything apart. If you started at the given coordinates and solved the puzzle correctly then it will place you within 6' of the cache. Because I dislike caches hidden in ivy I did not place this one in the bushes.

Please use caution to avoid being seen making the grab and take care to return the cache in a stealthy manner as well. This is especially important now that the resting place is much more exposed!
