Southwest Florida, Manatee, Cache to Eagle #3 is out at Lake Manatee State Park this cache represent two project from Troop 89. The Project were to help the FL park services with maintanice of the camp sites. All of the pic-nic tables where either repaired, or built to replace ones that could not be repaired. Your looking for a small green rubber made bowl. Bring your own pen cache has room for a small log and some small trading items. Troop89 had two eagle projects out here.
More on the Cache to Eagle Series: The 1st Cache to Eagle series began in Marin County Ca, as a series of 12 public geocaches hidden at the sites of eagle projects. The goal is to have Cache to Eagle Series in every district of every council state wide.
More on Lake Manatee State Park: (Lake Manatee State Recreation Area) is a 556-acre State Park in the U.S. state of Florida, located on the south shore of 2,400-acre Lake Manatee. It is 9 miles east of I-75 on State Road 64 in Bradenton. It is made up of pine flatwoods, Sand Pine scrub, marshes, and hardwood forests.
Activities include canoeing and kayaking, camping, boating, picnicking, swimming, and hiking. Among the wildlife of the park are alligators, turtles, osprey. Amenities include a 60-site campground, boat ramp, dock, and picnic area.
The park is open from 8:00 am till sundown year round.
