An interesting drive by to check local fauna

Before the road from Port Broughton to Alford was bitumised in 1964 it was put simply a shocker very hilly and some terrible corners with lots of accidents. So it was levelled and straightened thus quite a bit of land was sold to neighbours of the road. One section was not taken up by a neighbour and was left idle over the years wattle’s have appeared some pine trees and small mallee. I thought for my first hide it was a good place to reflect on how this country was in its virgin state. The birds have also come back and much to my surprise when I went there to hide the cache there was a kangaroo there also.
