Travel back over 150 yrs ago Horse drawn wagons came through here When Jessie Applegate discovered this life saving cold fresh mountain spring water. The early settlers from the Apple gate trail came down the Siskiyou mountain They used Pilot rock as a land marker to navigate to the rogue valley This spring was a vital source of water for the travelers and there horses, Green Spring rd is the third road that was built that led into Ashland Oregon the other two prior was built by the Army core of engineers and prior to that allot of bushwhacking. Oregon is known for Artisan wells and springs, This Spring is high in the Mountains Approx 4280ft in elevation.
Tub Springs was given that name early engineers built 3 concrete tubs to trap the spring water making it more accessible to drink, over the years it has been modernized with new concrete quarts rocks and agates found in this area.
There are many kinds of springs on our planet there are mineral springs, hot springs and even springs in the ocean that can reach up tp 300 degrees Celsius. this is a cold water spring. A spring in general for example snow melt that runs off a hill or mountain side the water flows under ground into the water table. This fills the aquifer to the point ware over flow is a result the water travels upward and onto the surface Thus we have Tub springs.
Congratulations Turner and Stich for FTF!!!!!
