A new hide in Shorewood Park where an older cache went inactive after volunteers cleaned out the undergrowth and invasive weeds.
This cache is named for a local lady named Jean who has made a mission the last few years of cleaning up some Parks in the Shorewood area of Burien. Jean has assembled a group of volunteers who spend many weekends cleaning out undergrowth and removing harmful invasive species such as Scotch broom, English ivy and other plants to improve the health of our parks. This cache is located near a junction of this park's two main trails. May require triangulation due to being hard to get a good GPSr reading under the canopy. Cache has several nice trinkets and trade items.
