This cache is
located close to the catchment of the East branch of the Moorabool
River. Nearby several large depressions on the eroded lava surface
formerly held lakes and swamps, although all are now artificially
drained. The lake shorelines are defined by lava flow edges and
have been further defined by weathering and erosion around the lake
margin as water levels fluctuated. Information in this cache will
be useful if you are doing GC287D7.
