This is the second bridge to have been placed at this location for car travel. The previous bridge was a wood deck bridge that was replaced in the mid-1950's after a rear wheel of a school bus broke though the deck surface. It is my understanding that the road was closed for months while the bus was removed and a new bridge built.
The good news at that time was, on the landlocked side of the bridge, was a gravel road extending the road and connecting it to the Snohomish County Cherry Valley Road, several miles to the north.
This should be a fairly easy cache and does NOT require walking on the bridge or under it. Park in the single gravel parking spot on the north side of the bridge for easiest cache access.
update 5-10-21 FYI: There are now several no parking signs nearby and currently one is right in front of the cache and that parking spot is coned off. Do not let this deter you from seeking the cache. There is a trailhead 1/2 mile away and some people using the trailhead have been very disrespectful of parking in front of mailboxes, fire hydrants ect. Just be sure to park where there isn't a no parking sign, get your wheels off the road and if needed carefully cross the street or walk along it a short distance to get the cache. Thanks.
Congratulations goes to Shaddow as the FTF.
