Sandy Bottom is a former industrial area alongside the Sandy River. In the past, the power of the water has been used for milling, mining and china clay processing. Nature and housing have now taken over this once bustling area, but it is still possible to see some of the old infrastructure.
This short walk on public access land and footpaths will allow you to see some of the old china clay processing structures and the site of the old Slades Mill.
Parking is available at the top and bottom of the valley, so you can plan the order in which you make your journey if you wish to do all three caches!
