Note - Larry the Lobsta had a bit of a crisis - He couldn't fit in the cache!
As of 12/23/2001, we've made the appropriate adjustments and he's back in the cache, hoping for a lift to the great American Soutwest and beyond...
Apologies to those who have already come looking for him...
*** ALERT *** ALERT *** ALERT *** ALERT *** ALERT ***ALERT *** ALERT *** ALERT ***
*** This Geocache now contains a hitchhiker! ***
*** Larry the Lobsta needs a lift SOUTH and WEST ***
*** Destination - American Southwest, Mexico and the South Pacific ***
*** C'mon... give this poor guy a break! Get him outta here!! ***
(and if he's already gone when you get to our cache, you can track his travels by clicking on the "track travel bugs" link and typing in his travel bug number - 202900)
This is our first Geocache - we hope you approve!
It's a tupperware-type container (clear with a white top) with a disposable camera (27 exposures) - don't forget to take your picture and leave the camera!
There are several reports that the cache is not at the coordinates I listed. I used an old Garmin 45 GPS - no WAAS or differential available, so that's entirely possible.
We filled it with an angel-shaped cookie cutter, a vanilla scented candle, a flashlight and a Battlebots keychain.
The website's rating system thiks it's a "2" difficulty and a "3" for terrain. Actually, when viewed from the right perspective, the cache is in plain sight - it's not all that hard. The terrain isn't wheelchair accessible but it's very easy to walk. So, after thinking it over, I downgraded the difficulty from the website's recommended ratings.
There are some spectacular views - you might want to bring along your own camera - especially at sunset.
It's also a good place to bring a picnic lunch, or even a fishing pole.
Have fun!
Becca and Dad
PS - Follow the fish.
PPS - Finding this cache is like life. If you're stoned, you're shouldn't stay that way. You're heading down the wrong path.
