Geocache Description:

After the success of our previous series of caches in Sandwell Valley, we thought it would be a good idea to set up a series in Brum. As you may know Birmingham is made up of small districts known as Quarters, so we came up with a plan to place a cache in each quarter:

The Jewellery Quarter
The Gun Quarter
The Irish Quarter
The Chinese Quarter
The Convention Quarter
The Millennium Quarter
The Business Quarter

The Business Quarter

The Business Quarter, is the historic heart of the city roughly comprising the area within the former Birmingham Inner Ring Road. Birmingham’s economy has undergone a significant change over the past 3 decades, with the service sector replacing manufacturing as the principle source of employment.

The historic building of the former Birmingham Eye Hospital is a distinctive location close to our cache and sits within the business district. The ornate, early Victorian building in the old city centre is now part of a trendy boutique hotel chain, which has been sympathetically converted and retains many original features including the magnificent sweeping staircase and granite pillars.

The cache is a nano. There is only a log inside the container, so please bring a pen with you. We have tried to ensure that the co-ords are as accurate as possible, if you find them to be different to the ones listed then please let us know. Please re-hide the cache carefully to avoid it getting muggled.
