Fairly easy cache. Is possible to get fairly close on paved trails, watch out for thorns!
This was my first cache to place. The cache is in a park that has a lot of walking and jogging trails. The entrance to the park is at 9th Street and Bryant Avenue in Edmond. You can get fairly close to the cache by following the paved trails, then its off into the forest! As the name implies, watch out for thorny bushes and so forth. When entering the park area, stay to the right and you can park by the duckpond. The cache is in a clear rubbermaid container with a white lid. Original contents include: Logbook, Hotwheels car, Where's George Dollar Bill, Golf Ball, and some kind of spent shell that was actually picked up while going to the "Down by the River" cache.
UPDATE (9-10-2002): Went and visited Thorny Forest after a long absence. The cache was hidden again thanks to the last finder, although I have now returned it to its original hidden state. PLEASE make sure you hide caches as you found them. Hope everyone can enjoy this while they can. Thorny Forest cache is coming up on its 2nd birthday, and its days are numbered. May put in some micro's instead. Enjoy!
