Welcome to my second cache hide, a simple drive-by in the South East.
The South Gippsland Highway is a partially divided highway in Victoria, Australia which connects the city of Melbourne with the South Gippsland region of Victoria, ending in the town of Sale. It begins as Metro Route 180 in Dandenong South, then at the South Gippsland Freeway / Western Port Highway interchange it becomes the M420 until the Bass Highway turnoff, then designated A440 onwards.
The highway commences in Dandenong, branching from the Princes Highway, and heads in a general south-east direction at first. It is mostly a dual carriageway with two lanes in either direction, until the Bass Highway turnoff to Phillip Island, after which it is entirely an undivided highway. It passes through the Cranbourne area, and then through or close to the Gippsland towns of Tooradin, Koo Wee Rup, Lang Lang , Nyora, Korumburra, Leongatha, Foster, Welshpool and Yarram, before heading north to rejoin the Princes Highway at Sale.
This cache is in a fairly unremarkable part of the south east suburbs, and is intended as a quick drive by. It's easily accessible by foot or by car, but take care stopping on the highway itself. Its a small black canister, with no room for swaps, just a log so please bring a pen!
Please ensure you replace the cache as you found it... Thanks!
