The cache is located along the Nebo Ridge Trail near the old town of Elkinsville. Parking cords are N 39° 04.763 W 086° 14.922
Elkinsville was once a thriving tiny community. In 1964 the US Government declared that all property below 560' elevation would be in the flood plain of the new Lake Monroe. Several homes were abandoned along with a church, 2 - 1 room schoolhouses, a blacksmith shop, a mechanics garage and a general store. Ironically the lake never made it to the town.
The Lock & Lock has a special guardian. Don't make the gnome mad.
