Geocache Description:

Trees of Alabama Series: Mountain Laurel -
(Kalmia latifolia). In the blueberry family, Mountain Laurel is one of my personal favorite trees with it's beautiful light pink flowers that bloom in the spring and early summer.. Diciduous trees found growing in the sub-canopy of the forest in most regions of Alabama and commonly along a bluff or slope such as where these trees are found growing. The cache is a camoed small Lock-N-Lock near a cluster of Mountain Laurel. The trees were all in full bloom with pink flowers when the cache was placed. There is a picture of Mountain Laurel in bloom on the cache log. Please return cache as found.
